Updated: Jul 17

Greetings nature enthusiasts, animal lovers, and community members! My name is Deb Gordon, and I am thrilled to welcome you to the official blog of the Nutting Stream Wildlife Rehab Clinic. Here, you'll find updates, stories, tips, and insights into the incredible work we do to here at the clinic to rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured and orphaned wildlife. Who We Are

Nestled in the heart of Groton MA, Nutting Stream Wildlife Rehab Clinic is dedicated to the conservation and rehabilitation of local wildlife. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for injured, sick, and orphaned animals, giving them the care and attention they need to return to their natural habitats. Nutting Stream Wildlife Rehab Clinic was founded out of a deep love and passion for wildlife. With over 30 years of experience as a biologist and rehabilitator, I have always been committed to helping animals in need. What began as a small effort to assist local wildlife has blossomed into a full-fledged clinic thanks to the incredible support of friends, family, our community, and volunteers and donors. What We Do

At Nutting Stream, we handle a wide range of wildlife emergencies. From injured and orphaned mammals to reptiles in need of care, our small but dedicated team of volunteers work tirelessly to nurse these animals back to health.

Some of our key services include:

  • Emergency Rescue: We respond to calls from the public about injured or distressed wildlife.

  • Medical Care: Our clinic is equipped to handle medical evaluations and triage, medication administration, and rehabilitation therapies.

  • Rehabilitation: We provide a safe and nurturing environment for animals to recover and regain their strength.

  • Release: Our ultimate goal is to release rehabilitated animals back into the wild, where they belong.

My Gratitude I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. Your generosity and dedication have made all the difference:

  • Manual Labor: To the incredible volunteers who lent a helping hand, helped organize the clinic, and helped set up wildlife enclosures and build essential facilities, I am deeply grateful. Your hard work and dedication have created safe and comfortable spaces for our animal residents.

  • GoFundMe Donations: A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our GoFundMe campaign. Your donations have helped us cover start-up expenses, medical expenses, food, and other critical supplies. Each contribution, big or small, has had a significant impact on our ability to care for these animals.

  • Marketing Help: I also want to acknowledge the talented individuals who have assisted with our marketing efforts. Your expertise in getting my social media and website up and running so we can spread the word about our mission has been invaluable.

  • Moral Support: And I cannot thank enough those who have offered their moral support. Your words of encouragement, kind messages, and unwavering belief in me and my mission have been a constant source of motivation and strength.

How You Can Help Community involvement will be crucial to our success. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Volunteer: Join our team of dedicated volunteers. Whether you have experience in wildlife care or simply a love for animals, we have a place for you. We also need drivers to transport animals and pick up food and supplies from local stores. And we also need volunteers who are savvy at social media to help spread the news.

  • Donate: Your generous donations help us cover medical expenses, food, and other essential supplies. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.

  • Spread the Word: Follow us on social media, share our posts, and tell your friends about our mission. The more people know about us, the more animals we can help.

Stories From The Field In each blog, we’ll share heartwarming stories of the animals we’ve rescued and rehabilitated. Stay tuned for updates on our current residents, success stories of past releases, and educational content about local wildlife and conservation efforts.

Thank You

I am incredibly grateful for the support of our community. Your dedication and generosity enable us to continue our vital work. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of countless wild animals, saving them one life at a time.

Thank you for visiting our blog. We look forward to sharing our journey with you and working together to protect and preserve our precious wildlife.

Warm regards,

Deb Gordon
